We are seeking an Engineer to work on carrier certification and function/performance tests for major US carriers (Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless - 5G NR/4G LTE cellular systems).

Responsibilities: • Plan and execute innovative test cases to identify critical modem issues. • Perform field and lab log analysis, track UE/network issues, work with chipset vendors, infra vendors, test box vendors, and carriers to solve blocking issues. • Optimize system performance, improve the stability, optimize power consumption, and support customers with product commercialization. • Work collaboratively on new modem features and improvements with internal teams/3rd party vendors for requirements/issues. • Work with chipset vendors, operators, and infrastructure vendors on modem feature definition.

Qualifications: • Good knowledge of LTE & NR technologies in various layers (L1/L2/L3/NAS/upper layers) on both Control Plan and User Plane. • Good knowledge on IMS protocols for VoLTE/VoNR/VoWiFi/EPS fallback. • Good understanding on Android Telephony, RIL, and QMI protocol. • At least three years of hands-on experience in mobile device testing/failure analysis with system simulators or in field. • Ability to perform end-to-end debug and solve system performance and functional issues. • Work experience with cellphone products development based on Qualcomm. • Scripting, programming and automation skills are an asset. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Highly motivated, self-directed, and ability to work in a team environment with cross-team coordination and challenging schedules. • At least five years of experience with integration and verification of wireless telecommunication products.

Preferred Qualifications: • Good understanding of TCP/IP and mobile data path/performance. • Snapdragon 4G/5G modem implementation experience. • Ability to communicate in Chinese is preferred. • Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with five+ years of industry experience.
